What is the best way to mount a WARN HS9500I winch?
I have a 1987 Toy pickup.
Thanks,
Pat

on the front of the truck might help. You might want to weld those bolts down so no one steal the winch.

My cousin has an ARB front bumper on his Yota. Since the winch bolts to the bumper, then the bumper to the truck, the winch is pretty secure from theft (as long as they just don't take the truck)

<FONT COLOR="Red"> I'm using square receiver tubing on both my front and rear bumpers and the roll bar too.

That way I can use the winch front or rear, carry it on the roll bar or leave it in the garage to avoid theft. I've got my mounts all made but still haven't bought a winch yet, so no pix...

Well, it depends on if she is bent over front of the truck or lying on her back on the hood :grinpimp:

:flipoff2:

I'm kinda partial to Slick's method myself, but it does have a few drawbacks...

I usually sneek up behind them so they don't see you coming. Oh, WINCH!

i am at a loss here.....are you serious? winches bolt on. turn the winch upside down and you will see 4 bolt holes. put bolts thru the holes and mount to the bumper of your choice.

I like the reciever approach. I've got them front and back on the jeep, my son's sami, and can use it on the back of the pickup should I ever need to. I have put quick disconnects at the bumpers and on the winch. also made up my jumper cables to fit same disconnects. works great. got everything I needed including cable at Battery Bills on Richards in Sac. In addition to theft prevention it takes alot of weight off for a daily diver. good luck no matter which way you go.
