OK, I want 37" MTR's like all the cool kids but if they are impossiple to find. Rumored none are in the US currently. Which tire would be your next choice?

What about the 37" BFG MT/KO or whatever? I've looked at the Parnelli Dirt grip 36", or even the 38's. Both measure bigger from what I hear. 37" Boggers, or even the 37" SSR's would be good too. All tires i've looked into, whenever a solid axle appears under my Ranger.

For a DD, i'd go SSR's, Dirt Grip, or MT/KO's.

My $.02. :D

for those of you that run swampers on the road :flipoff2: way to waste a tire. Anyway, the bfg's might actually last more than 15000 miles even if you do STREET DRIVING. My set of bfg's has lasted through 2 sets of swampers (my buddy's rig), and I can still go where ever he could. :flipoff2: The swampers sure do look cool though, so when you roll by the high school with your 37" boggers, I'm sure all the 15 year old chicks will notice you.

I thought this was the whole reason to buy a 4x4 with big tires.... :flipoff2:

get yourself a true 35, they are as tall as a 37 mt/r.

they measure about 36 on a 10 inch rim these are gonna be on 8 inch wheels so about 36. 5 to 37 when I decide to mount them I will let you know

these 37 MTR's are very tall they make my 39.5 TSL's look small!!!!!

guess they changed things with their 37's over the 35's, the 35's on a 10" wheel measure like 33.5" and with the weight of my heep on my 35 ssr's on 10" wheels, the 35 mt/r is still 1.25" shorter than them with no weight mounted on a 10" wheel.

that pic is a new 37 not mounted and not broken in........... I'm bettin once they break in a little they will be measuring 35.5 on a 10" wheel with 32 psi jeep sittin on them......

Plus, ya got that tape measure tilted at a 90 degree angle. Tire diameters are measured HORIZONTALLY ;)

This is my honest oponion. Ive had them all, the all terrain tire is a good tire on road but lacks in the wheeling aspect. Mud terrain is probably my favorite, its a good all around tire. Now i did have a set of boggers, on the road they were noisey as hell and shook the whole jeep constantly, even up at the con i wasnt to happy with them, just because the tread is spaced so far apart, they would slip alot off the rocks, but in the mud its a different story! Right now im running 38.5x14.5 SX and love them!! On the road you cant even hear them. I probably have about 2,000 miles on them and i honestly dont notice any ware yet. But my 42's TSL for some reason are waring alot faster. So there ya go, you decide.;)

A theory about tire buying:

I think that you'll change your mind countless times until you have enough cash to but the tires. Then you impulse buy the ones that you're in love with at the moment and live with them. No matter who you talk to, theres going to be a difference in opinions due to different terrian, driving styles, and whether or not its a trail rig. All of the tires that are mentioned above are great and I'm sure you'll swear by whatever one you buy.
