Anyone else do this?
Now that the axle is under the Jeep, looks like it'll have to be set up with 5/8ths bolts running from the hi steer arms to the stock steering horns with the linkages mounted on hiems on those long bolts, with the hiems located on those bolts with sleeves.
I think Currie does something like that with the hybrid 9.
A tie rod from one knuckle to the other will not work on either the stock horns or the hi steer arms due to the various brackets for springs, etc., but it does look like it'll work between the hi steer arm and the horn. Unfortunately it means a trip to the machine shop to work out the angles of the horns to hi steer arms to get the bolt to sit flat.
Anyone ever do this?
Its a hi pinion D44 with chevy flat top knuckles.

Check my steering pages:

And check the tech section at www.madxj.com for Jeff's custom d44 writeup where he goes Hy Steer on a HPD44 with coils.

Spidertrax sells custom links, you should check it out...

I was thinking of Spidertrax, I actually sourced some stuff from them for this project, but there's a guy local to me who does linkages (welds threaded ends in heavy tubing just like Spidertrax).
I'm not a good enough welder yet to trust my work on something like that.
Also, the biggest PITA is going to be setting up the track bar. The frame end will require cutting off the cast stock ear and fabbing somehting tight up the the frame.
