The diff is centered but the pinion is offset about an 1". If you measured off the pinion thats whys its off.

I measured from the backing plate flange to the center line of the frame rails when i centered mine up.

if you centered it off the backing plates and your measurments are right, the only way the tires would stick out is if you had different brakes on each side.

I assume the wheels you're using have the same bs?

Well here is what I did after I posted becuase I just had to figure it out. I measure from the backing plate to the backing plate and found my center line and marked it on the diff houseing. then I measured from the spring to the spring at both the front and the back and the middle to make sure that the springs wernt twisted. then I took that measurement and divided it in half and measured from the center of the housing out to the spring plates and that is where I set them. they are in the same place as before and still look a little offset but it has to be right. the body must be a little off and the tire bulge may be a little different thanks for everyones help anyway maybe some other newbie can read this and wont have to ask that is if I did it right
