I don't have a workshop manual with me (nor am I finding any luck with Google  ).
I need the wear tolerances for large-journal 350 SBC main and rod journals. I know what the standard is supposed to be, but I need to know what the wear limits are.
I've got a reground crank at .020 under that I've just mic'd and need to know if the machine shop ground it within acceptable tolerances.
Thanks in advance!

Or maybe I should take this question over to Gen Tech where somebody may have a clue...

Main bearing oil clearance
1 0.0008 to 0.0020
2 and 3 0.0011 to 0.0023
4 0.0017 to 0.0032
Rod bearing oil clearance
0.0013 to 0.0035

Now that you've found that, do you mind telling me the "wear" tolerances for the journals (e.g. acceptable wear before needing a regrind)?
The oil clearances are great, but I don't want to have to think about the bearings yet...
FWIW, the mains are all within 0.0002" short of spec (probably less than the error of my mic) and the rods are all within 0.0008" short of spec.

Your mains and rods are fine if they are where you say they are. Oil clearance is really what matters, and will vary slightly based on the size of the housing bore.

Thanks. It's not that I don't care about oil clearances, it's that oil clearances depend on three things...your journal diameter, your saddle diameter, and your bearing thickness. Now which of these three was I asking about again? I'll deal with the other two later...
