Hayraker 12-26-2001, 04:15 PM Got a digital camera for Christmas so I thought I would share a couple of pictures of a stock vehicle for a change. http://bbs.offroad.com/wwwthreads_uploads/19-632091-DSC00024.JPG http://bbs.offroad.com/wwwthreads_uploads/19-632089-pickup.JPG

It's steel, it doesn't weigh as much as it looks like it does, but it is still probably too heavy to be hanging off the front with the weight of the Cummins under the hood, I still like it tho, not many cars will pull out in front of me:D
The Adam Blaster 12-26-2001, 07:27 PM That is an awesome bumper!!!!
Looks like it belongs on the front of a train as a cow-catcher though!!! :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Very nice machine though man. I think (eventually) i'll be gettin a quad cab 2500 and a nice big 2-car open trailer. That won't be until i have a nice piece of property to store it all on though. :D
Nice truck, bumper looks pretty mean.
Someday I'll get a cummins powered truck...

Ten_Bucks 01-14-2002, 03:34 PM Nice truck for a regular cab (lol). Have you done anything performance wise to that Cummins engine? If so, what exactly have you done?
69 toylet 01-15-2002, 02:16 AM I have the same truck but my bumper is a reunel I also have one in the back with bright back up lights. I also have a winch, warn 9000i.
Color of mine is forest green and the bumpers are painted to match. After getting the truck i had the muffler removed and added a 4" pipe. With no muffler the jake brake sounds cool.I guess i should mention i have the HO cummins with a 6 speed.
I also got a digital camera for x-mas and will figure how to post picks.

I used to drive crew cabs and extended cabs, I like the short cab, easier to get around in, thought about extended cab shortbed but I need the longbed for the way I use a truck, as for the engine, I haven't touched it
Ten_Bucks 01-16-2002, 02:26 PM Hayraker,
Are you planning to do anything performance wise to that Cummins engine in the future? If so, what is it that you are planning to do exactly?

Not planning anything except upgrading the exhaust, and K&N air filter. Might do more later, but right now I am just trying to make the payments.
Ten_Bucks 01-16-2002, 03:48 PM Hayraker,
Since you're planning to put a highflow exhaust on it, you might as well do a computer upgrade too. For example: a VanAaken CPC box on it, or even an Edge EZ box on it. That way you can get more out of the highflow exhaust. Just trying to help, thats all.

K5,
I may look in to it, it will be down the road though, I really don't need extra power, but I would like to increase fuel efficiency. Thanks for the info on the computer upgrades.
Here are some pictures of me screwing around the other day. I'm glad that I have an old scout for a trail rig or I might be tempted to tear this thing up.

69 toylet 01-18-2002, 02:16 AM Is your truck an auto or stick. The exhust upgrade is a real good upgrade. Get rid of the resonater and the restrictive muffler have the 4" installed with kn filter and for a little more of a quite ride you can add a truck muffler. It has a four inch hole through the middle and does'nt hold your exhust back any.
I had a local muffler shop help me with mine and the rub was about $580.00.
with the 6 speed I was able to tell the difference in high end peak power.compared to stock it seems to want to put your head in the seat at about 1800 to 2500 rpms.:flipoff2: v-10's
