What a bunch of spineless scumbags.

Now, I don't have solid proof, but the shoe definitely fits. And they're scumbags regardless.

My buddy, a lawyer, is representing a guy accused of killing a cop. He also hates his neighbor - a well-connected scummy guy with Stars&Bars flags littered over his property in a manner inconsistent with the typical southern pride associated with displaying the Stars&Bars.

The neighbor (so it seems) has decided to fawk with my buddy.

Examples:

1) He has LE tailing him damn near everywhere. The switch at county lines.

2) Bugs (not insects) have been found in his house.

3) He's found his house unlocked when he knew FOR A FACT he left it locked. Wife was definitely at work.

4) Heard a noise the other night on the porch, went out to investigate and found only the smell of kerosene on and around the porch. Cops came out and confirmed it.

I know he's a little paranoid but that doesn't mean someone isn't out to get him. I think the good ole' boys are using their system to fawk with a guy who obviously doen't like one of their own AND represents an (alleged) copkiller.

I'd like to camp out at his house with some of my firearms, maybe get NVG's. I don't like people fawking with my friends.

Sounds like that movie with Matthew McConaughey, A Time to Kill.

I live right down the street from the Barrio and you have ten times the excitement.

Tell your friend to get one of those "Black Power" flags and hang it in his yard:D:D

Then get ahold of the Nation of Islam and the Black Panther Party(what's left of them) and tell them you are having "unusually high" klan activity in the area and would like them to make their presence known.

You already figured out the problem. I hate those fucktards too. I used to live in a little town near Witchita Falls, TX that had rallies all the time for that shit. It would have been the perfect place to test out a couple BARs.

Ya, I don't like them either, but just think, you could quite possibly knock out a few birds with one stone:D:D

Seriously, if your buddy can afford it, hire a PI to watch his place and get evidence or better yet, set up video cameras around his house, inside and outside. You could also call Dateline to have them "investigate" the problem.

Go tell Senator Robert Byrd, that fine Democrat and former Klansman to tell his buddies to knock it off. :flipoff2:

Well, either your buddy is really paranoid or he might have a serious problem on his hand.

I don't doubt people are being pissy with him if he's on a cop-killers side, thats just how shit is. Most people don't like lawyers in general, but ones that represent scum are hated even more.

If he's living in a neighborhood thats that fucked up I would leave before they do burn his house down with him in it.

But really, #2 is the only hard case factual thing I found in your post so I'm not sure what to believe.

Just because he "thinks" the fuzz is following him, because he "thinks" he locked his house, because he "thinks" he smells fumes makes him sound more paranoid than anything, BUT for the sake of it I'm staying open minded at this point.

I could round up a few of the boys and their toys to go camp at my buddy's house. They'd have to call Fort Stewart for fawking help. :D

LE was definitely following him. Others have confirmed it. County to county to county, they watch him. Marked cars, unmarked cars (still can ID them)....doesn't matter.

The smell of kerosene was confirmed by 2 patrolmen and documented.

He lives in a very nice neighborhood.

He should buy a portable scanner so he can hear the radio chatter,

"base this is 54-12 and we're in pursuit of that lawyer again....over"

"base to 54-12 we'll have *whatever* County police waiting at the county line to follow him after you're done...over"

*copy that, I hope you have all highways covered, we don't want this guy to get away even though it makes no sense why we're tailing him, over"

"base to 54-12 this guy is bad news and if we lose site of him the case may be lost, base out"

Sorry, I thought that was funny.

Anyway, are you sure this dude ain't peddling drugs or selling illegal guns? Police around here have better things to do than follow around lawyers for no reason, ESPECIALLY handing off work to all surrounding LE departments. Hard to swallow for me.

Actually it is to intimidate. Sometimes cops pull that shit against lawyers who represent unpopular clients.

No. I've never been one to hide behind anything, sheet, computer screen, what have you. Regardless of what I think, Hef is no better than the group he is bashing. Does it really matter? If he is concerned with the well being of his partner, then dummy up and deal with it. Who cares about who or what group may be behind the harrassment. It is what it is. I'm not saying he can't have his opinion. So what. I could give a rats ass. He doesn't answer to me. Its not like any of you reading this could give a shit anyway. :D

Would you please just re-read the original post? Here's what you should pay special attention to..... "in a manner inconsistent with the typical southern pride associated with displaying the Stars&Bars." Sooooo, settle down!

Not to lead too far off topic, but I think they were originally like a frat and then if got out of hand and went off on a tangent.

Hef, He should mount a Digital Video camera in his rear window. Get some actual video proof that he is being followed. Compile it all down into one video and go to the police station and have him ask if there is something they would like to talk to him about. No? Then he expects the cops to quit tailing him, As it is Police Harrassment and it is illegal, and I'm sure they don't want anymore lawsuits to deal with.

Another fun one to do is have someone who looks like him drive his vehicle and get the cops to follow him. He must drive completely legally though. Have him do a loop in a neighborhood and come back on the main street going the opposite way. Then have your friend, driving another vehicle, flag the cop down and ask him why he is following his car.

Of course the other explination is protection detail, But I think he'd be aware of it if that is the case.
