Iron Mtn Rd is off hwy 50, so its a little out
of your way, if you are in the Truckee area.
How about the Cisco Grove area.

Directly opposite (north side) is the road to Fordyce Lake.
That should have lots of snow.

Also , the Eagle Lake turnoff, north side, has roads
that are used for snow runs.

Either should have tons of snow now, so don't go
in alone.

so you are implying that when you have the money -you have no problem illegally wheeling and just paying the ticket ...

Soda Springs / Forest Hill road is a snowmobile route. In fact it gets graded for snowmobiles from china gate to robinson flat on the forest hill side and is gated at china gate.
