Does mini tuck power steering work well on a cruiser with big tires?

Well now, wouldn't that depend on what you mean by big

IMHO, the mini will work ok on 12.50 x 35 or 36 tires, but when you get up into the 38" and larger categories you will have problems.

my little 33" swampers just ate their first mini box, blew the top seal and some crunching going on.
It has been about 5 years of abuse since the swap.
I had not rebuilt the box before I put it on, just junkyard to truck.
I have been happy with it, but be aware that if you are running over a 12.5 you WILL hit the steering are to the pitman. I have broken two steering arms this year by the swamper lugs grabbing it and snapping the center arm link. This is on a drum brake cruiser with chevy offset wheels. Methinks I need more backspacing...

I have a friend who runs mini truck PS and 36" tires. I was wheelin with him once when he got the tire wedged against a dirt bank and snapped the pitman shaft. Took a while to drag min out of the woods. Just thought you might want to know.
