i'm trying to put a lift shackle on my '95 p/up and can't get the stock bolt out of the bottom of the shackle. seriously, i've tried everything i can think of to get the darn thing out and nothings working, i must be missing something, but does anyone have an tips or suggestions?

You have to take the shackle off as a unit. The bolts are pressed into the shackle plate. there are splines under the bolt head. Does this make sense? I mean, take the nuts off, then that shackle plate, then the other shackle plate comes off with the bolts at the same time.
