Most people that like to go meet at Hazel and Hwy50 at the Chevron station at 9am. What time will you be coming through that area? I might be going up

Yeah- that is a good place to meet for everyone. We'll probably pass through there around 8:30-8:45. Maybe we could set a general meeting time, say around 9:00 am?

Thanks Mark! I think I have it covered. It's the unknown stuff I will find while everything is apart. So far I have found a nice 4" crack in my frame where the frame hanger has torn apart! More to come I'm sure!

Mark I just got your PM.

I'm not sure if my daily driver can handle a snow run.
It is a stock XJ you know:D

Whats the terrain like up their. Any details would be cool.
I might bring the XJ if the trail isn't to bad.

My mom just bought a YJ, maybe I can talk her into going .

I hooked her up with an 89 YJ 4.2 liter sixer with a MPI efi kit.
Dana 44 rear with limited slip spring over on 32x11.50 BFG al terrains.
Lemme throw some tow hooks on it so you can yank us around.

A trip like this with you and your family Should deffinetly get my mom hooked on taking her jeep offroad.

Todd- Iron Mtn is the old Morman Immigrant trail. It's a wide, paved road thats covered with snow. I see stockers up there every trip. Just make sure you have tow hooks and stay in the tracks.

And hell yes, bring your Mom! We'll have a great time :skull:

Just talked to my mom. She wants to go. She said shes nervous about it though:D
She hasn't been off road too much. She says she's a chicken LOL

Sounds like the perfect place for her and her YJ to bond in 4wheel drive:D

I thin I will bring the XJ. It is slowly becoming a beater. I can thank Sara for this progress. ever since she decided to follow me through thr Dry riverbed at the cabin. I was on a dirtbike and her and the girls were in the XJ trying to keep up:eek:

I have 4.10 gears for it allready I just need a lift, Tires, wheels and some sawzall blades and I will have another wonderful trail XJ
:D

If this XJ turns out as cool as the "Toad" it'll be awsome.

This XJ should be better:D
6 squarrels instead of 4.
231 transfercase instead of the weak 207 or whatever was in it.
and a working CD player:D

I'm half tempted to try to buy the original toad back :(

The family that bought the toad just bought a new house One of them just got laid off.
Too bad I can't have any more vehicles.
I have the CJ the XJ and now a Baja bug and Sara's celica.
her dirt bike.

I'd be really pushing my luck with another vehicle.
So I've decided to finish the CJ ( I finally found the bellhousing I needed) and then after the CJ is on it's way I will work on the Xj.

I'm so close yet so far away!

I am dangerously close to having everything finished on time... except for a new driveline. :( I can't beleive how much I got done in 3 days!

What's left:
Drill front springs for larger center pin
Weld up knuckles
bolt up, re-assemble axles and brakes
Then the hard part... I really need a new or lengthened driveline... Jess??? How bout it??? #5378 baby! Daddy needs to transfer power to his new pair of shoes!

Bottom line... You guys will be having a blast while I mow peoples lawns for drive shaft money! :flipoff2:

We never made it out of town on Saturday. The clutch slave cylinder went out on my daughter's Toy. It was an easy fix but it really fawked up the day!

Sounds like bigblackjeep had one hell of a night :skull: It was great you helped the guy in the Toy get out. What the hell was he doing up there by himself?

I went to Bassi yesterday and it was a blast. The snow kinda sucked but once we got to the falls it was nice. The sun even came out for a bit. I met Aggro. Helluva nice guy with some cool ass dogs. On the way out we cleared a 2 & 1/2 foot round tree that has been in the real trail for a while. I love my new chainsaw(I got a Stihl for my B-Day :D ) Next time you guys should head to Bassi.
