: do your disc brakes make horrible squeeeels? peterfj40 10-25-2001, 05:15 PM i just did the disc brake conversion w/ a '76 disc axle..all new everything rotors, pads, (calipers were good), when i brake hard, it squeeeeeels like crazy like a big bus or big ass peterbilt...when i am about to stop, after slowing down, the brakes squeeeeel again..its really pisssing me off...how do i get rid of the squeeeeeeeeeeeling [ 10-25-2001: Message edited by: peterfj40 ] Erik D_lux 10-25-2001, 08:20 PM usually its the pad and caliper rubbing together. You can put something sticky on the back of the pad to stop that. They make a spray at the auto store.
