I am replacing all my bushing on my truck with polyurethane ones and I am having alot of trouble getting the lower control arm bushings out. I have tried almost everything got one out in about an hour! I don't have a hydraulic press and I don't want to remove the control arm. Do they make a special tool for this? I have been using a c-clamp to act like a press but its a pain. Will the upper control arm bushings, rear leaf spring and shackle bushings be just as hard to remove?

I was thinking of doing that but if I torched them out wouldn't that weaken the metal? I can't imagine the smell. When I drill around them it smells bad can't imagine catching them on fire. yuck! Is anyone against torching them?

burn them out and if there is a metal sleeve around them use a sawzall or hacksaw to cut the sleeve and pull it out. the heat Won't hurt the metal at all
