BOND King Day Rally Blasts Jesse Jackson

The Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND) commemorated Martin Luther King's birthday on Monday with its fifth annual rally to repudiate the media's favorite civil rights leader, the Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Held outside Jackson's Los Angeles headquarters, BOND's chief, the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, said he hoped the rally would spotlight how Jackson had misappropriated the legacy of Dr. King to divide America.

"We hold this rally on Dr. King's birthday because we want to show the contrast between Dr. King's dream and Jesse Jackson's nightmare," Peterson told Linda Chavez, the former U.S. commissioner on civil rights under President Reagan, who now hosts a nationally syndicated show on the Liberty Broadcasting Network.

"Dr. King said that one day we would become one nation under God," Peterson contended. "But Jesse Jackson's nightmare is that we are more divided over race than ever."

Peterson said that Jackson had helped "brainwash" black Americans to think that white racism is still their biggest problem in a bid to encourage an unnecessary dependence on his leadership. And the results have been disasterous.

"Black people don't need leaders," the BOND chief told Chavez. "They need fathers and mothers to get married and guide their own children in the right way to go, so that kids can learn from their parents about leadership."

As black people in this country become more afflient and successful, they are able to peel back the shroud that many in their own community use to keep them down. You will also notice they are less likely to vote Democrat and more likely to vote Republican...

He would, and I believe he would also expect what's happening. And I believe he would take the stance that African-Americans have to deal with these demons on their own. We can't exorcise them. If blacks are ever to stand TRULY equal in America (not just how equal racist Affirmative Action policies make them), they're going to have to create their own future. Crying white-woman's future for them has been pretty fucking bleak.
