I am replacing all my bushing on my truck with polyurethane ones and I am having alot of trouble getting the lower control arm bushings out. I have tried almost everything got one out in about an hour! I don't have a hydraulic press and I don't want to remove the control arm. Do they make a special tool for this? I have been using a c-clamp to act like a press but its a pain. Will the upper control arm bushings, rear leaf spring and shackle bushings be just as hard to remove?

Just get a propane torch and burn them out, its the faster and the funnest, just try not to breath

well the wrong tool for the right job may work ! I use a balljoint press for all kinds of bushings including the controlarms on my mustang . it may work for you (but have to admit not as much fun as the flaming wrench allready seguested :D )
