I needed a bigger, less serious trail rig to double as my daily driver, so I bought an 85 4Runner and am selling my beloved Samurai.
It was an official Off-Road.com Project Truck, the result of 10 years of fine-tuning. Once I totalled it up, I couldn't believe that it has over $12,000 in aftermarket parts alone! Here's a run-down of what it's got:
Suzuki Swift GTi Engine: Ultra-strong GTi crank, rods, and pistons, high compression, larger valves, custom exhaust with a Thorley header, Weber carburetor, torque cam, 50% more horsepower than stock, turns 9,000rpm without breaking a sweat. 30,000 miles since complete rebuild, current smog certificate.
6.1:1 Transfer Case: Ultra-low gears provide a 103:1 crawl ratio for torque and control while on the trail. Idles at ¾ of a mile per hour. 2-low shifter modification. Upgraded mounting arms and bushings. Long-travel driveshafts with 1/2-ton U-joints.
Axles: 4.57:1 Yukon Gears, Lock-Right Lockers, custom trussing/skidplating, rear disc brake conversion (with in-cab electric line-locks), crossover steering.
Suspension: Spring-Over-Axle conversion, YJ springs with front shackle reversal and rear Missing Link shackles, Rancho RS9000 shocks with in-cab remote controls to adjust suspension stiffness. 1400RTI score, 40+ inches of articulation.
Wheels & Tires: Super Swamper SSR 33x14.50 (80% tread remaining) on 15x10 Rockcrawler wheels with 2.0-inch backspacing. Bushwacker fender flares.
Armor: Wheeler's front bumper, Rocky Road rear bumper & tire carrier with full-size weight-saving pizza-cutter BFG spare, Hi-Lift jack, and gas can. Belly pan skidplate and side-mounted rock sliders (included, but not currently mounted). Con-Ferr roof rack.
Interior: Suzuki Esteem front seats, extremely rare split/folding rear seats, in-dash MP3 CD player with truck speaker box mounted to rear door, Tuffy locking center console, CB radio, scanner.
This is an exceptionally reliable vehicle, with all the "bugs" worked out. I'll post pictures as soon as my server is back up. In the meantime, you can check out my ad on AutoTrader (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=144374054) for photos.
Notice that for typical wanna-be wheeler on AutoTrader, I'm asking $8500. But for someone from the Pirate board, I'd reluctantly accept $7500. I'm also willing to entertain any interesting trade proposals, keeping in mind that I'm building an 85 4Runner and am looking for things like dual t-cases or even a trade for assistance working on my Yota. Don't be afraid to make me an offer!

The Samurai is located in Northern California's Bay Area, in the town of Orinda to be specific.
