I've got a third member from I think an 82 ford half ton that was abandoned on the highway. It has 3.5 gears and seems to have a posi. Anybody know what it is? I'm guessing trac-lok and wishing it was power lock.

My best guess would be a trash-lok. Never heard of a Power-Lok for a 9" ;)

I have an auborn with less than 100 miles on it ill sell you cheap if your interested.

Is that like the no slip posi? I would really like a full locker, even a lunch box type for now would be OK. Don't know much about the auburns.

as far as l/s an Auburn is the best in my humble opinion. w/ the conical clutch packs you have more surface area for the clutches to grab on and will be able to deliver a higher % of the power to the wheel w/ traction only prob is they are pricey when new

Luchbox locker eh. You can get a mini spool for 30 bucks.........

You're need to get a stock open carrier for both the lunch box or mini-spool;)

FWIW- I'd go with the Mini :)

Hadent thought about the carrier differences.if you dont have an open one around and you need one i have one i can sell you :p
