Just a question on this tank. I dont recall a 77 coming with a 14 gal tank. I could be wrong, but if they did, will they mount into the older ones where the 11 gal went or is it a totally different setup. I have to replace mine and for the price of this one why not get the extra 3 gal if its just a bolt in.

So someone let me know what the deal is.

I'm not too familiar with the '77, but know it had a plastic tank. I remember looking at a 77 being parted out, and the tank was sitting in the back. The shape didn't look that different. As far as I know the back end of the frames are the same as earlier models. The mounts may be different, but nothing a little fab can't fix.

Yes I think you are right it was plastic, but are they any good or are the metal ones better

Well I personally like the plastic ones better. My reasoning is that most of the eb's i have bought have beening sitting up or not be running for awhile. The plastic made it easier to clean. I know that you can have the metal ones boiled out and lined, but i have not had to do that with a plastic one. The metal ones will take more abuse than palstic ones, but i have always built a skid for the ones i have ran. So it didnt matter either way.

IF it's out of another bronco it will work.
You should look into a skid plate tho...
My vote is for the metal all the way.

Good luck
