between 10 to 13 miles/gallon empty/loaded/up hill/down hill/head wind/tail wind.....well you get the idea. it should be a EFI engine and it won't really care about loaded or not. 460 is just too big of a motor to be effected unless towing a large trailer. My 460 in my '73 with carb and no OD gets 10 mpg. Not bad for a truck that tips the scales at over 5000 lbs.

Is your '66 a 4x4 or 4x2. If the '88 has the C-6 auto then it will be a good truck.

Power steering and power disc brakes are Good :D

4x2 is cool, just checking I used to own a '65 and a '66 F-250 4x4. if you haven't found these guys http://www.ford-trucks.com/
then check them out and maybe try selling it there. not a lot of 4x4 stuff over there but they do love the Blue Oval. Best of luck with the '88.

I get about 10 mpg, but I have an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb and never go above 2800 rpm, and the secondaries are never opened.:flipoff2: :D
