I need a ecm to control my 700r4 lockup, and park/neutral on my 454 for smog. I am running the 7747 right now which I think is for a stick and the ecm doesnt register the park/neutral and failed my damn smog cert cause of it.
I gotta get outta cali.

You shouldn't need an ECM unless it is a 4l60. I have installed several 700s without a problem on smog. All that I have ever needed is a 12 volt source to the solenoids so the convertor will lock-up in 4th gear. Is the referee being a d**k?

The 1227747 was used in lots of late 80's GM trucks with 4.3, 5.0, 5.7 and 7.4's I believe. You can get a custom chip burned for your computer that will probably solve all your problems. Go to TBIChips.com. The guy who does those (Brian) can burn you a chip for your computer for like $30 to $50. He knows these TBI pretty good and he said that the 1227747 is the computer to have if your going with something out of the odinary. I had him do one for me when I put a v-8 in with my v-6 harness and computer. I had a problem at first because this computer never even came in a v-8 vehicle but with-in that day of notifing him he had 3 different chips in the mail to me. I can't recommend him enough, he knows his stuff and his prices are right.

The 747 is for auto's or stick. This ecm has an input for park/neutral switch and has output for the TC. If you don't have a VSS the torque converter won't lock/unlock. If you need wiring diagrams i have them http://www.efi-tuning.org/manuals/1227747/

Referee just said that the the park/neutral, and tcc needs to work. The park/neutral is wired and hooked up but it does not register with the computer.

Could this be becuase the ecm was from a stick?

Also are the 7747s interchangeable? for instance will one from a 305 work with the 454? If so I can just install one from SB with a 700.

Thanks guys

They can be interchangable to and extent. Chances are your truck will run like crap though. The fuel curves will be all out of wack for your BB. I guess you could try it though, if you have laying around.

Na I dont want that. I just want the same shit I got now with a working park/neatral, and TCC. I will have to talk to brian. Thanks
