yep, i hard a story similar to that bout the axles.... i will be running warns with mine :D

I believe (but dont quote me on this) beccause, Matt that has the "Rubber Ducky" told me he is getting CTM racing U-joints for his front Dana 60 along with his 35 spline outers and moser inners. I will research here in a little while to find out for sure.

weel jack is an awfull nice guy, I bought a set whenn he still was making them out of billet ( 300.00 a set) and worth every penney . It puts a perma grin on your face when you dont break any more u joints . The CTM joints are the reason I went back to a 44 because that was there only problem I had with them , problem resolved . I sold the 60 and bought the warns , ctm's , airlocker etc and love it period:smokin:

:smokin: They look beefy...but don't use any needle bearing at all? I run a little bit of road in 4 WH in the winter, these would perhaps burn up on anything but trails...right?

Just out of curiosity, how many joints have you broken on that little bit of road in 4 hi?

Sorry Mr.....I don't trailer to every trail. Back east we get snow on the road. The joints I use on the road are rolled!!! I just was wondering if a trail rig that may see a 20 mile road trip would smoke these U joints?:flipoff2:

No, they can take it. As long as you grease them regularly (simple to do, while they are still in the vehicle) they will last a long time. Jack has been running them in his truck for almost a year now, with almost no signs of wear.

:) Thanks Lance...I wasn't looking for a hard time. What do they grease with, a needle fitting? I think I saw one hole in a pic. Thanks.

What size tire and power are you guys running with success. I would LOVE to run 39" TSL's with a D44. What do you think?

Sorry Chark, no hard time here. It is just a pet peeve of mine that "unbreakable" and "daily driver usage" are often found in the same sentence when these joints are discussed. Nary a thing wrong with DD's, I personally fail to see the relevance. On the other hand, they have stood up well to near daily usage.

I am still trying to convince Jack to offer a 500 dollar reward to anyone that can ship him a video of someone breaking one.

So I should be able to use these in my Dana 35 right? (not that I've broken a u-joint before just considering options)

Well, if it uses 297x ujoints, yes. However CTM only recommends using Warn alloy shafts with these ujoints.

ahh paul, a dana 35 is a c clipped rear axle.... there are no joints back there.... :D maybe you mean a dana 30 front? and if so yes you can but you should run warn axles and you cant get the stub from warn unless you have a lock in lock out hub conversion on your 30.... and that is a big$$ item, plus replacement hubs are around 80$ each..... better off to find a 44 and build it.... or a ford 9 :D

Yes it uses 297x joints. I don't even know if anyone makes alloy shafts for it.

Nope, i have been looking for some friends for TTB axles, the only thing you can do is get some nice mosers but they will have to be custom cut $$$$$$$$$$$
