My smog/mechanic guy said he had heard through the grapevine that CA is planning on outlawing motor swaps. Not trying to start rumors but this question came from a reliable source. Thanks in advance I know there are some smog referees on here and I was wondering if you had heard anything.:D

Back tot he top, the question came from the guy at TLC who does a million motor swaps a year (v8s into cruisers). I was wondering if anyone had neard anything? I wpersonally wouldn't be surprised.:rolleyes:

i have not gotten a recent news letter in a while but it sound hoaky to me,
CA would have to jump through some serious hoops to make it happen,
Thier was a rumor like 2 years ago saying all the Exepmt cars now would have to go back to be getting smog's bi-annuanly, but that was just a rumor as well

Depending on whom you talk to, swaps are already illegal in Missouri :(
