In a nutshell, the US won the Cold War and now the President (played very well by Alan Alda) is in a pickle as he has nobody to go fight to raise his ratings in surveys.
So, with the help of his National Security Advisor (played by Kevin Pollack) he decides to start a 'cold war' with Canada.
Hilarity ensues when John Candy, a bumbling sheriff in Niagra Falls takes things a bit too far.
It was basically a good movie. You just have to realize that it was written and directed by Michael Moore II. Yes, the same Michael Moore that is backing Clark for the Democratic nomination. The same Michael Moore that wrote/directed Bowling for Columbine. Yes, that jackass.
Once you get past the his "Big business and conservative government sees war only as a means to stay in power" message, it's a pretty funny movie.
I give it 3 out of 5 :flipoff2:s. And one :flipoff: to the director.
