putting together the motor swap this weekend and i just stuck my fuel pump up against the block today and theres about a inch gap under the fuel pump. the pump doesn't completely cover the hole in the block. do i need so sort of cover to go on the block hole then the fuel pump or is it a completly differt pump that i need. its a 78 block and thats the pump i have. i will get pics tommorow morning. anyone know that i'm talking about?

Yes there is a cover that goes on first then the pump first.

Head down to the speed shop and pick up an adapter plate. That covers the bottom half.:)
