Hey all, I would really appreciate your input. I may be a fawkin newb but I respect your advice. And hope you don't mind to help. Heres the thing, my hubby just went overseas for the 6month ship thing and right before he left I bought him a 97xj. I would love to have it built up before he returns in June. We have 23 month old twins so I don't have the time nor equipment to do the fab myself, I am looking for someone who could build this thing up for around $2500. It is stock exept for the slight modifications I had to do to the fenders areas to make the 31 mtr's fit. Just had to nip and tuck a few inches here or there. I bought him a 3"BDS lift that I had hoped to install but after reading and searching this site I figured fab is better.
Can anyone help? All advice is welcome. He bought me a 03 rubicon for my b-day. ..so I am in the process of trying to make that thing a rig. please no teasing it was a gift.He tried.
TIA
hope to have them ready cuz in 18 months we will be back to cali.san diego bound

to be honest with you, $2500 worth of fab work wont get you much......:(

Call Rubicon Express. Ask for Mike and tell him Jimmy from Flex told you to call him. Tell him what ya have to work with and he'll put you in the right direction.

Instead of shooting your whole load of cash all at once, build slowly like the rest of us did.

Buy a cage. I'd think you could get a nice basic cage that will protect you and the twins and have a lot of that $2500 left over.

Go wheel. Replace broken parts with stronger ones.

When you get stuck, take pics and post them here and we'll tell you what happened. Then we'll tell you what you need to get through where you got stuck.

Personally I've never been on a ship for 6 months, but I can tell you I'd want something to look forward to when I got home. How about a letter with a picture of you, the j**p, and a caption on the back that said "I found this really nice remote little trail. We'll need the rig to get to it, but it's really private if you know what I mean. Missing you.." That would prolly make me jump off the ship right then and there and swim home. :D
