I have a 350 in a Landcruiser and the wiring which was pieced together when the swap was done (prior to my buying the truck)is crap. I would like to wire the truck using a switch pannel and a seperate fuse box in order to get rid of the cluster of wires under the dash. If anybody has any suggestions, a parts list and/or a wiring diagram it would be a great help. The motor is carborated and it is a trail rig only.
Thanks in advance.

Are there any "specific" things you are stumped on? You might wanna build your own "harness" using a after market fusebox. It's fairly simple especially if you use a 1 wire alt. Only thing you really have to do then is have a relay that "closes" when your "ignition" key gets turned on......

If the harness is hacked too badly, I would just start from scratch. Painless makes harnesses that you can modify for use in A cruzah, or you can fab your own. Not to difficult, since the cruzah and chevy wiring is basic.....
When I did mine I pulled the complete harness, removed un-needed wires, spliced in wires for chevy alt, and starter, then reinstalled. :skull:

try to go find a complete early chevy truck in a Pick N pull-type
wrecking yard and pull the entire harness/fuseblock/wires
out with it. It's easy to go ot the public library and photo-copy
a wiring diagram for early chevy trucks, then remove the wires
you won't be using, and keep the ones you will use. (You may
also want to shorten/lenghten as required while you're at it.
My complete pickup harness only cost 18 bucks......(And I pulled
the headlight switch, heater control, wiper switches, etc.
be sure to label the wires at the connector as you're removing
them from the truck. you'll never remember afterwards.
