I have a 69 ford 3/4 ton with an NP 435 and divorced Dana 24 T-case. I want to put an NP 435 with a mariied case in front of the Dana 24. Has anyone done this swap? What T-case should I put in front? Any websites with info would be appreciated too.:D

How much space is there between your tranny and the divorced case? You'll need at least 18 inches, I'd guess...

I don't think the NP435 ever came with a married tcase and a skinny adaptor, which is what you'd want. AFAIK all the tcases that bolt up to 435s use loooong factory adapters.

The T18/T19, on the other hand, DID come with a short factory adaptor to the D20 t-case. What you could do is use a factory Jeep T18/D20 or Scout T19/D20, and then connect its rear output to your divorced case... The D20 will hang out to the right side, so it should be out of the way of your front driveshaft. Might interfere with your exhaust though???

You could even use the D20 front output for a PTO winch or something :-)

PS: in order to bolt a Jeep T18 up to your Ford engine, you'll need to swap in a Ford T18 input shaft and bellhousing, and to do some mods to the case to attach the bellhousing to it. A bit of work, but it's doable. Or you could use the Ford T18 case with the Jeep T18 innards, and drill the case as necessary to fit the adaptor.

The NP-435 came Married to the NP-205 in '78-'79 Bronco. this T-case adaptor is Shorter than the adaptor in the F-150/250/350. It may not be short enough for what you want but it is worth a look.

If all you are looking to do is double the low range then look into the getting a NP-203/NP-205 married to the NP-435 and loose the divorced setup.

Good luck.
