If any of you are planning a trip to the Outer Banks tomorrow (likely:rolleyes: ) I'm stranded here in Raleigh with the misses and could use a ride. Give us a call if you're feeling generous. 851-5337:D

Where ya tryin to get to? I'm not planning one but could give ya a lift if you need one. (not today tho', took me 1 hour to get here)

And why is it the little front drive stuff feels obligated to run right up the middle of the road in snow/ice shit anyway?

Sorry man, not heading to the coast today ;)

Joe, I hear ya man...I took a trip yesterday from Moore Co to Kings Dominion area VA and back...scored a tranny & winch bumper for my junk... Those plus all my tools was great ballast in the back of my Cherokee.

Left at 7a, got home at 8p  Lots of non-driving ultramaroons out there. There was a bad wreck just across the state line in NC on 85 @ 5pm... I got away from all that & took US1 down to 64 and backroaded it home. North/east of Raleigh was snow, south & west was more like ice. Whee.

Coming into Wake Co from Joe's hood I was putting along at 40 or so, a Stealth / Miti3000 passed me up & had to be rolling at 60+  I was hoping to come up on that one, wadded up & flaming in the ditch, but was denied.

If you don't need to go out in this crap, please don't! (off the record quote from a NCDOT worker who's laying out today :p )

Thanks for the thought fellas.
We're going to rent a car from Enterprise since I can drop it off at home.

Woody, I work for DOT in Division 1, District 1. Small world.

i left greensboro sun morning heading back up here to DC. as i was heading away from the storm it took me a little over 5hrs.

i saw a handful of cars and trucks all beat to hell in the ditches and one 350z managed to strand itself in the middle median on 85. the median at that point was probaly 100yds wide and the 350z was literally in the middle.

I left Burlington about 6 am sunday...coming back toward greensboro. Passed the salt trucks in between Burlington and Greensboro. They were parked in the far right lane (not on the side of the road)...just out there sitting there.
