Just had Marv Spector call me, I emailed about the 82 troopy he had for sale. I'll tell ya he sure doesn't fluff up his stuff, told me stright up the good and the bad, had to laugh when he said the troopy had in it's 20 years everything wrong you could do to one, some of the stuff had me rolling on the floor, he has fixed all the issues correctly sense he had it. Prolly not something I'm gonna pursue however, but I have a feeling I might be looking at something else he will have. But some of the stories he had were great, could have BS'd for hours......cept i had clients waiting for me ;)

He was encouraging me to come down, check out and play with some of his rigs.............so so tempting.

But I'll tell ya he sure seems like a A-OK guy that won't BS ya.......a true Cruiserhead in my book :) He even spent the time to look over all the pics I have on the web. After all the years he has been at it, I can tell he still has the fire burning in him for the love of Cruisers :)

Fun to talk to a legend like Marv and as Cruiserheads we are luckly to have folks like him.

BTW this is the troopy, came for South America

Marv. is a great guy, every time I have been to his shop he has showed my family and I around his back lot. He will talk to you for hours on end about cruisers. If you get a chance to visit his shop, it is well worth it.
I was looking to buy a 45 pu from him, off his web site. He called me and said that he would not sell it to me sight un-seen,( due to the fact that it was real rough). He has alway been straight up with me in our dealings.

John,

I have yet to make it out to his place, but since 1988 have spent countless hours on the phone with Marv, and dollars at his facility.
Has not always been the easiest person to get in touch with, but after starting my own shop in 1993, I can completly understand how a person can get consumed in the buisness. He always took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered, no matter how insignificant they seemed.

that wasn't my intention ;) But trust me I call em like I see em, if he had been rude ect then I'm sure I would have said so. But honestly I was impressed with Marv and i ment what i said :)

FWIW I don't think Marv hangs out here.......but wish he did :)

Yeah he is a great guy! I've been down there a couple times, and both times he was very kind and full of good stories and info. He also encouraged me to stay as long as I wanted and loom around all I wanted and take as many pics as I wanted.
