I'm going to be changing my oil pan in a few weeks and was wondering if I should change the pump at the same time. The motor is a mild 305 and pulls 30 psi at idle and 50 when driving. I'm just not sure if I should replace it with a stock one or look at a high volume pump. Or just leave the stock pump alone.

sounds like your pressure is good - but if the price is right on a new pump, might as well change it........I wish my oil pressure was that good...

I would change it!!
My luck the pump will go out few weeks later..
High volume is the way to go..
Your only talking about $40 bucks .

Someone told me a while back that I shouldn't run a high volume pump on a relativly stock motor. But I was never sure it this was true or not
