talkin bout the little metal thing between the spider gears in a differential. also called a spacer block. and the hard line is the copper tubing the air goes through to get to the differential. the lock washers are the little star like things that go under the screws that hold the end cap on the arb differential. any questions?

An RD08(semi-float) Land Cruiser locker is shipped with four different thickness c-clips for the axle retention. I have not ever needed to grind down the center block.

I try to keep the copper air tube an inch or closer to the ARB carrier, to make sure that it does not rub on anything.

If you need different thickness c-clips, call ARB tech at

888 427 2872, talk to Tim, he will be able to take care of you, unless there is a dealer close to you that has them on hand.
I do, I am in MN, which probably does not help you.

Good luck!

answer to ? ------ why do you pee so much ---- beer.
To MNPOSER - the clearence problem was between the side of spacer and spider gear. I think it is very odd that the unit was taken apart. the grinding on spacer is the only change that is noticable. I will post some pics to see if anyone can tell why this was done.

May be worth your time and money to call ARB tech, and possibly ship it up to them. Did you purchase this used? Perhaps someone needed to see all the magic inside, and jacked something in the process of putting things back together..I have been into a few of them, not really that big of a deal, but who knows...
