for EFI, i have a 4.0 and use a carquest pump for a 97 acura integra. It has a max output of 125psi. It has served me well so far. I am just running a jeep 4.0 HO though. You may need something much different if you have an LS1!

Got the same pump. Works for me (87 Buick 3800 SFI), in the driveway anyway. No road tests as of yet.

Note; I had a hell of a time getting the thing plumbed in. I have about a dozen damn fittings on each side to convert it over to standard 3/8" steel line. Maybe that's cuz I have shitty hardware stores near me. But the parts houses were no help either. just fyi..

Try AutoZone, part number E2000 they are SEMI-cheap, you can get spare!

well, if you thought about it and see that i didnt ask for a REPLACEMENT, you could tell i dont already have one.

which only really leaves one option:rolleyes:

dumbass....and yer motor is?!?!?!?

TPI = Master #E2000
TBI = Master #E8153
Carb - no fuckin clue

...and you STILL haven't bothered to tell us what motor your are running and your needs...a carbed 2.8 4cyl will have different needs than a 750 horse dual Holley mud drag truck. We don't give a shit if its a replacement or not, whether you want external or internal, but give us something to work with regarding an engine....for all we fuckin know it's a briggs and stratton...

If you aren't smart enough to tell the application , maybe you should just ride a bicycle or walk and then you won't even need a fuel pump. I don't think the guys in gen are going to be as tolerant of your stupidity as we have been:rolleyes:

I don't know about him, but I'm needing a setup for a stock 87 tbi 350 since we're on the topic. I've heard that the stock chevy in tank pumps suck, but never seen or heard anything to back that up. I think I'd prefer in tank, but I just need to get this finished. So what about in tank or out of tank for that. On the cheap?

Edit: for my overwhelming brain fart and stupidity. I'm always glad to entertain though. :) If you can't figure it out, I referred to an in tank mechanical fuel pump. :emb:

:emb: Oh yeah. :clown:

I'm doing my fan/radiator, tranny rebuild, and the fuel stuff all right now. It' all running together. Sorry. :D

I think that I want an in tank pump if I can cram it in my 84cj7 tank. I just need to get this done, and preferably as cheap as possible. SO my question just pertains to the chevy in tank assembly or other in tanks then OR aftermarket external pumps. Thanks. (I like the idea of having a fuel indicator too.)

Too late :flipoff2:

Old Scout already beat you to it, and I already corrected myself. You need a faster connection or faster typing one.

At least it was just a mistake and you didn't actually think that you could have a mechanical in-tank pump......the way this thread was going I was starting to wonder:flipoff2:

Oh ya and I have a satelite connection:D

TBI applications : Carter P5001
MPI applications: Carter P5000

Both inline types. They're a little more expensive than the AutoZone ones, but in my experience they are better. Plus most parts places will price match. I also know a stock replacement in-tank pump for GM trucks will fit in a wrangler tank w/ little modification.

Then you need a typing class :flipoff2:

The way this thread was going is why I attempted to insert my question ;) artfully stated as it was :rolleyes:

You mean YJ tank and 87 GM truck? I'm very interested. CJ tank work as well?

I can type like 30 wpm Gipper. BUT....getting back to the topic, why not run an inline pump? They are a lot easier to replace if you ever have to. Also a lot easier to mount. Howell uses an inline for their injection kits and they mount right to the frame rail.
