Just because you post it in the newbie section doesn't mean that you can ask questions like "what is an axle" or "what is a 4-link"...I mean seriously, go to http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/images/top_search.gif (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/search.php?s=) and type in 4-link

you know what dude, im going to be nice and tell you what a 4-link is.

a four link suspension is where yoususpend the axle by coil springs of some sort, most likely a coilover. now the problem with that is that the axle is not stable with just the coilovers hocked on it, so you moun 4 links to it. one at each en od the axle on the bottom of the axle, and then two more onthe top, an close together as possible, (use common sense) then you attach the other ends to the truck frame. the ones that were mounted on the bottom of the axle on the ends now are mounted as close together on the frame, creating an triangle shape, the ones that were close together on the axle ar now mounted as far apart as the ones that were on the bottom of the axle, only mounted to the frame. basically have two links running from the pumpkin outward to the frame, and from the outsides of the axle to the center of the frame.
