the only lift now unless you do a sas is a 2" coil spring lift sold by www.4x4parts.com. i think calmini has one but not marketed it yet? what exactly does he want to do w/it? is he gonna wheel it or just get the lift for looks? tell him to check out the "96 & newer pathy's" on the message board where alot of his answers can be answered. i too have a pathy (96) & have used that site for many mods...
keep us posted ;)

Its a (ca)R50 unibody. There arent really a whole lot of insane mods you can do to them without going custom. They can be made into good trail rigs. I want to say that someone took one of those down the Con this past summer, with rock stacking and bypasses of course.

Yep he did. The little R50s aren't bad. We have one in our club, and he does rather well with some good spotting.

There is also the block lift which I have done, although I don't recommend it unless you build it yourself and unerstand you can blow a CV. I am slowly working on a SAS for this unibody truck, but unless your friend really takes it offroad I would just get the lift springs. Old man EMU also makes some milder lift springs (1") which are intended more for holding more of a load in the truck.

To continue rambling on there is a possiblity I might get some XJ lift coils to work on the rear if the spring rate is similar to the stock ones. This would provide a nice lift, cheap springs , and decent ride. The XJ coils is dependent upon me wanting to fab the perches..

Don't be lazy Keif! Build the perches, and you can be an innovator!:flipoff2:

Yeah me either unfortunately. Our goal should be to be the first Frontier, and R50 to complete Dewoody!:D

Welking it may be as hard as running it. They made it a five now I believe. I have seen a built CJ with 60s, and 40" tires not make it up that thing. Of course then I saw a Cherokee on 33s with stock axles go right up it. It is all about driving.

all the jeepers out there (SWB) complain because they have the ruts right at wrangler wheelbase, where as longer wheel base trucks, cheerokee don't have near as many problems because they don't get both front and rear axle in the already bad ruts..

I just found out last night the roomate has our damn air comressor at 70psi/90 psi..

that is not correct. I can get lift's for ALL 4x4 Nissans from 1960-2004. Use a Patrol front diff in a SAS conversion and I can get you a kit for that also...or parts of the kit, whatever. Also my supplier has the means to custom build any suspension to your specs. Want a 4" lift kit for a 1990 Pathfinder? No problem...

I agree with that 110% ;)

what do you mean thats not correct? other than an sas(which hasnt been done yet) the only "marketed" lift is a 2" coil spring lift...also, he's referring to a 97 pathy that has unibody frame & mcpherson struts not a 90 pathy which has torsion bars & body on frame(truck), they already have plenty lifts for them.
so, disco dino keep us posted on what he's gonna do ;)

Thanks guys for all ur help...

The R50s are surely capable for what they are but the unibody and IFS are alien to us in Lebanon...

He currently has 31x10.5x15 Trexus MTs, a front 9,000lbs winch, a rack and so forth, so I guess a mild lift to make sure that all is coping better with the mods is in question.

Any one has experience with the OME lift for the R50s?

We´re not that much into booty-fabbing (read: HE is not much into...:flipoff2: )...

Also, do u guys have any idea of the dimensions of the springs? maybe we can mix and match from other trucks and post the info here...I know that some Landies use Patrol springs and so forth, so that is a good source of cheap, good lift kits.

As far as the Patrol diffs are concerned, I presume ur getting them from down under. Having owned a 2002 GU SWB HP (military spec) I can attest that they are GREAT...but overkill for anything under 37".
