I tried to Google Pro-Tools M105 bender but they must not have a website. All I got was some BB posts from another board, yours I think. Please tell me where to get one of those benders. They seem to work great judging from some of the work I've seen here.

TIA

Go to www.rockbuggysupply.com and ask for Scott. He can set you up with the pro 105 bender and dies for a great price. I have purchaced all my bending stuff from him. other then the software which I deal.

Damn, looks good. How many feet of tube do you have into that? I am planning one almost the same for mine so it would be nice to know. How are you going to connect yours to the frame?

There is about 15' of 1.5 .120 wall for the seat tie in area and about 70' of 1.75 .120 wall in the main cage. The owner is doing the frame tie in. I have 4x5 plates under the main hoops that he can atttach too. for the frame tie in

looks nice, clean lines, the only thing i might add would be some bracing angling down from the b hoop to the seat tie in, but otherwise looks good

I like it... and I think I just figured out how to mount my seats.

Thanks!

Thanx, you can run flat stock between the front and rear tubes laying one side on top and the other underneath, give the angle of the seat you need to have.

Hey RockRat, what are you using to do the notches. They look like fit up great. :cool2: I'm guessing it's not a chop saw.:flipoff2:

Not trying to steal your thread here, but I am looking to do something like this on mine.

http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/9/web/345000-345999/345242_127_full.jpg

The red lines are the standard pieces for the harnesses and to triangulate the hoop.

I don't know how much the Blue pieces will strengthen the cage, but they are required by most of the rock crawling association rules for cometition.

Any idea how much a piece added between the front hoop and the dash bar in the center of the windshield would strengthen the front hoop. Or am I adding dead weight at that point without triangulating it somehow.

Overall, the cage you have there is built about the same as I have been planning, including the section behind the B hoop. Hope to see some pics when it is finished and everything is mounted up.

I use the pro tools notcher and if that dont work there is always the mill. LOL As far as the added rear X and front a-b hoop diag. I agree. Customer didnt want it.. who am I to argue. as far as the brace on the a-hoop I would make small upsiedown V in the center....Iwould tube a 10spd if thats what some one wanted..:D

Why did you do Parallel bars on the front part of the roof?

You could have continued that Rear V brace on the roof to the front making an X?

Maybe your payed in full already....... but could you talk Him into letting you weld a piece of sheet metal between those two Parallel roof tubes?

That little bit of sheet metal would really help keep the roof square, without the "V" he chose against.

Just another thought.

Rockrat

Ok we added door bars and 2 little supports behind the seat to the b-hoop. more for harness tie in then anything. the owner has kids and didnt want them having to crall throuth an x to get to the back seat so heres how we finished up.

Looks like a nice and safe cage... What about adding a bar between the rear hoop and middle hoop just above the fender wells? It'll help if you ever get smacked from the rear. If your not going to run a top angle them out about an inch outside the tub and they work great as rock rails. It's saved alot of body damge on my junk..
