What I'm looking for is a brake mastercylinder for our Mini Baja. The new rules say to have a dual reservor master. The only ones I can think of are auto applications where they are heavy and will pump a lot of fluid. I checked Wilwood but it dosent look like they have anything that will work.
Has anyone found something or would know of something that work for this.
If your not familiar with the mini baja it is a over built go kart. Under powered with a Brigs 10HP.

wilwood does have a few that will work...the backup sytem does not have to power all 4 brakes. We are using the dual cylinder setup with a balance bar in the middle. From what weve gathered from asking the almighty rulers of the comp this will be legal. These are overpowered but do the job and look good while doing it. Any other setup would have to be custom made, nothign to difficult to do though...two cylinder next to each other with a single pedal to power both or something. ( i wont be racing you so no matter to me...:p)

Yep Willwood does have some slick little units. I belive you have to call and ask for them. They are not listed on their web site.
And we are running dual cylinders one for the front and one for the rear.

The cal poly SLO guys have alway run Tilton, they are local. Or you can use wilwood, CNC and they're might be a few other.
the biggest headache about the new requirement is that having properly sized calipers results in the need for a very small mc piston. The smallest one tilton makes is 5/8. Does anyone else make a smaller mc?

TRD check Wilwood. I'm pretty sure the piston size is under 5/8". Somewhere around 1/4-38/" IIRC. I'm not sure what the Wilwood application maybe a go cart or something.

I think were just going to use two cylinders. Wilwood dose have a slick one for a go kart. It would just be nice to find a little dual res/piston cylinder.

Check with the kart shops.
Any 125 shifter and lots of enduro karts use dual cylinders.
They are really easy to set up. They are small and they stop my kart from 100mpr in a hurry. :D
Check the kart site maybe you can pick up a used set.
www.ekartingnews.com was a good site
The only problem I ever had was the little plastic cap on the resivor. The previsious owner over tightened it.
Good luck and have fun. :D

UCLA is running CNC setups on both of our cars, they make a couple dual reservoir setups that hopefully will work well. We ran a single reservoir last year and we could lock up the tires at anytime and we even shortened the pedal. This year with the duals we aren't shortening the pedal and we are running huge rotors so we will be cool with the new lame rules.
