Ok I just did I search and got nothing so I guess its safe to post :D I am just a bit curious of any of you experienced jeep fabricators are using NR 232 Flux Core wire on your Rigs. I am currently in school to be a welder and i have had some experience trying to weld the stuff. It humbled me quite a bit honestly. If you dont know NR232 is whats primarly used in heavy structural steel. I think it might be over kill for a 4X4 but i some of you guys might have expierence welding it. Any tips?

Happen to know what the AWS number is for the rod? That tells the Tensile and its easy enough to get the composition via web site or the paper literature.
Compare the those numbers to the frame steel tensile and composition. On average the rod is about 20ksi higher than the parent metal and has a bit more carbon.
You get enough of a mismatch and yes its going to be "annoying"... ;)
