can i use something like 3/4 or even 1" bar stock and weld the arms on the end?or maybe thick wall tubeing?i know i have to use heim joint ends (i have them)does it need to be heat treated?

or is it just something that i will have to save money and get the curry sway bars but i don,t like to spend $600 ?

Check race-car suppliers for cheap swaybar stuff, or even bent-n-twisted IIRC they were the vendor that had a good deal on the stuff a while back. You can buy the steel arms for ~$30 a piece. They are splined. You don't want to weld to the swaybar. What are you planning on using for the swaybar?

I think he means to use bar stock as the sway bar.
Not gonna work.

Try picking up a torsion bar out of an early Toy 2wd pickup, and adapt the link ends to your setup.

well, what braxton is refering to is almost the same thing that currie sells but at a fraction of the cost...do a few searches cause it has been talked about quite a bit latley...it will probably end up being not a whole lot more than doing a home fab and it will be 100 times easier:cool:
