Does anyone know if the military versions of the dana 60 front axles came with either 4:10 or 4:56 gears or did they use both ratio's or just 4:56's?:mad3:

Only the 4.56 in the D60. Most were open, a few (all M1031 certain M1028s) models had a limited slip in the D60.:usa:

Well thanks for the info but now im in need of a 14 bolt with the matching 4.56 ratio to go with the new dana 60 im gonna get next weekend.Ive found a place that has many of the cucv's and they are selling me a dana 60 front for 1000.00 and i was wondering if you could give me an estimate of what they might ask or How much I should spend on a 14 bolt from one of these trucks?Ive got a 14 bolt but its a 4.10 gear.Is it easier and cheaper to change the carrier, ring gear and pinion or just buy the matching set? Thanks again for the info

Well as a rule 14Bolt FF are cheap in comparison to a D60 front end. I venture $400 and see if they cough on that. Keep in mind these are off a one ton and the spring perches will have to be moved to slide it (14B) under the back of a K5, K10, or K20.

If you already had a HD K20 14B FF that has the correctly spaced perches I would consider finding new 4.56 gearsets and having them installed. Not a job for the novice, so you could easily blow some coin swaping gears. But as a generalization, moving perches would be cheaper.
