View Full Version : engine swap
The wife has a 90 Range Rover Classic with the 3.9 V8 in it. I was wondering if anyone makes adapters to stuff a Chevy V8 in?

It's a fluck of alot of work for a smog ready truck. I would just buy a 4.6L short and swap your EFI and heads over. Here is some good info on the 4.6 swap:

Jegs and summit sell adapters for ~$50 that adapt a Buick bolt pattern to a Chevy. Shouldn't that work?

nah, the Rover V8 is a Buick engine, but they changed the BP along with several other things. there is a guy in the PNW that makes a full kit to put a brand fawkin new NV4500 and Chevy motor into any rover for a couple grand. big $$$ i know, but they are beautifully engineered and WORK.
