wondering if when replacing the clutch in a 95 extended cab v6 4x4, will i need to remove or loosen the torsion bars, or will i be able to just slide the tranny back? will pulling the t-case help at all?

Yes, you're going to have to take the tortion bars out. It's not that hard to do, it should only take about 10 minutes to do both of them. If you're transfer case is married then it's going to be easier to just pull it all down at the same time. Otherwise you're going to want to pull at least the tranny down to give you enough room to assemble the new clutch assembly. If nothing else it will make putting the pilot tool in place a much easier job. Don't forget to get your flywheel resurfaced while you have it all apart.
