: questions about hydro booster power brakes

ok i am looking for some help on this system...i am confused on the matter of which fluid do you use? p.s fluid or brake fluid?

did not find any info on in the search...please help

It's easy. Both. The part that connects to the power steering pump uses power steering fluid and the master cylinder uses brake fluid.

my booster from a delivery truck at a junk yard was 25.00 and the same for the master cylinder......cadi,s have them also...some have a brass tube on the side (larger than a film container smaller than a baby food jar)this allows for a few pumps if the engine dies as you probably read in pyro,s write up....
new i think cadis are like 125 at my auto zone

what did you guys do for the custom lines??? did you use those earl fittings or did you have someone make them?

It's a good idea to have the best quality lines MADE for you by a good hydraulic shop. The high pressure side of the HB booster is as much as 2500psi compaired to 1000lbs in a vac booster. Don't buy anything for your brake system that isn't the best you can find, your's and other people's life's depend on it. Don't forget to change the soft lines at the wheels and make sure the seals in the calipers/slave cylinders are in top shape, these also need to handle the added pressure.
