Ok, for those who didn't see it before:

I kinda fubarred my Atlas adaptor.

Someone has suggested to me that rather than buy another spendy atlas adaptor from AA, that i get the adaptor from a 4x4 S10 with a 231 and a 4L60E, as it will mate up the same as an atlas adaptor.

anyone know if this will work?

Thanks!

I have a 700R4 231 adapter that is attached to a tranny I busted the case on, Im not sure about it working for your Atlas, but if you need specific measurements or anything let me know ASAP and I will look at it tonight out at the shop.

The adapter is still on the Tcase, but the shit broke off the back of my tranny

You might be able to warranty your adapter through AA.

RIGGGHT...

I can hear myself on the phone now:

Sales guy: "Thank you for calling advanced Adaptors, how can I help you?"

Me: "Let me talk to Vic please"

Sales Guy, "sure, hold please"

Vic, "This is Vic,"

Me: " Hi Vic, This is Mike, I spoke to you the other day about needing an adaptor for a 700R4 to your T-case. Well I'm a dumbass and broke it in half the other day cause I was lazy, can you give me another one for free?"

Vic: "Hell no you waterheaded numbskul! Buy another one like any other dipshit who breaks stuff for no good reason!"

Me: "ok, sorry for wasting your time"

I think I'll just try buying one.

Ive got the adapter at my desk at work, were would you like to start? The 231 case has 5 bolts holding it to the adapter, they are in weird places, its not a circle so we really cant go from that...Ill see if I can make a paint drawing with measurements, LOL it will suck but give you an idea anyway....back in a few..:p

The atlas is a six bolt pattern on a 6 3/4" circle. AA adaptor is 1.5" thick.

All the chain driven NVG transfer cases are the common 6 bolt circular pattern and have 2.72 planentary gears. Not sure how GM might have managed to get a 5 bolt pattern on that case. could you post a pic of the adapter?

I got curious and did a little digging. Found this in another thread.chevy has a five bolt patteren up until 95, the 96 and up are six bolt patterenThe years may be off a little, cuz I found another thread that said 97 and up for the six bolt pattern. Hope this helps.

Oh how I wish I could say that to people and get away with it. You're going to need a return authorization # for me to warranty that. give me a call 800-350-2223 ext 530 and I'll give you the RA#
