Need to smog my 350 in cruiser, When did Chevy begin and end using smog pump set-up, what has allowed them to quit using
them?

Also, do all 350 blocks have the same bolt holes for mounting accessories? I looked at 3 today, 2 with alternator on passenger side and ac on driver side, 1 with alternator on driver side and ac on passenger, does it just depend on the year of the brackets? will all brackets mount to all blocks?

What should I expect to pay for a serpntine set-up from a salvage
yard?

thanks

The smog pump kinda depends on car or truck. The trucks started using them in the early 80's and I've seen them on cars in the late 70's. Most blocks have the same mounting holes. The heads are where the difference is, but 9 times out of ten they will be the same. i believe the computer and O2 sensors is what eliminated the smog pump. I have no clue what a serpentine set up goes for.

my old 77 chevy 1/2 ton had a smog pump but my 89 blazer doesn't. I know that isn't much help. Good luck.

Maybe it was the half tons. I have owned a bunch of late 70's and a couple early 80's 3/4 and 1 tons that did't have em, but my 86 3/4 ton suburban had it. good luck

If I am not mistaken, 1 tons dont require emissions... Not sure about Cali and west though..
