Getting ready to part out jeep. Building another not sellin Tires whats the best way to put them away ? I heard let the air out and stack them on the ground flat and put plywood between them. Any info would help. Thanks

i think that the bottom one might get a bit squashed that way... i think that the only fool-proof way is to suspend them, IE no part of the tire touches the ground, kind of like when you put a rig on blocks under the axles (no flat spots on tires). so maybe put the tires over a piece of tube, then hang the tube horizontally so that the tires are off the ground? would look pretty cool haveing 5 swampers hanging in the air in the shop, IMO...

I used to work in a tire warehouse. All the tires were just barrel stacked, sometimes up to 7'+ high. Semi tires you can go real high with since they are so stiff. And some of the stuff did sit for long periods of time.

Leave the air in them and keep them out of the sun light. I don't think it makes that big of a deal how you stack them.

You'll want to keep them away from anywhere close to where welding is done because o~zone deteriorates rubber:rasta:

My truck sat for a year here in Sacramento. from 20degree weather to 100 degree weather. Now my tires are all cracked and weathered. It sucks. Now I know better though!!!
