I have an 86 chevy 1 ton ex-military pickup. I have found a chevy suburban with the air condition dash. What should I take into consideration before doing this swap. I want to have the a/c in the militarty truck because right now the dash it has does not have the a/c vents. What all do I need to remove from the suburban to make this work easy. I almost bought a new heater core from the local auto parts store the other day. But it asked if you had the a/c model or non a/c so I know that that is different between the two. Thanks
P.S. IT is a diesel military pickup and the suburban was a gas burner. Will a reciever hitch off of a 1/2ton suburb bolt up to the frame of a 1 ton pickup?

You are going to need everything from the suburban, all duct work, the piece that mounts on the outside of the cab, and the switch and cables as well. you are also going to need to cut the cab to fit the new unit because it is bigger. Not sure if the hitch would work. Think it should.
