I have an 85 toy truck bed that has gotten no love in the free stuff forum and I need to get rid of it. I know I can take it to the dump and pay to get rid of it. Does anybody know of anywhere in the bay that I can take it that wont charge me. Cant find any metal recyclers in the area, all the wreckers are closed, dont even know if theyd take it. any ideas?

I cut up a full size bed into 5 pieces and threw it into a dumpster

Cut it up into a few pieces and toss it in the dumpster behind your local supermarket some 2am. Or cut it into a bunch of pieces and throw it away in your trash a little at a time. We actually did this with an old shed on some property a friend bought.

search the yellow pages for metal recyclers. Iver drop a few whole cars off at the one in livermore. aint gotta pay but you also dont get anything. They take it as long as no engine, tranny, rearend. so a bed would be easy.

yeah, I could cut it up no problem, but would rather go with a metal recycler, none in the phonebook that I found. Livermore is a bit of drive to drop off a bed... guess monday Ill try all the junkyards. Dont think the neighbors will like the bed in the front yard for too long, got to do somthing by monday.

Why not just dump it in a Wal Mart parking lot?
