: D60 front - Toy rear

I'm starting this thread here due to lack of response in the Toyota section. So don't tell me I'm double posting :D I'll let that one die.

I've been doing lots of searching and researching (pun intended) on what I'm trying to do and found some good information. Almost to much information.

I want to know what would be involved and the best way to narrow a front D60 to anywhere between 55'' and 57'' and convert it to a chevy or toy 6 lug bolt pattern. I've read on how to run 15" rims and am OK with that. I'm going to run it in the front of a samurai with toy engine and toy running gear (except for front axle of course). I'm planning on running full hydro.

Any suggestions on what would be the best axle to start with?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

sounds like a ford van to me...might want to consider the hybrid toy/60 combo...try www.foothill4x4.com and look at the one they offer...the best of both worlds...dana 60 center and toy outers....or pm zags as he did his front that way and the rear is a snap....

check halfway down the page at the "Rock Crawler axles"

lighter, narrower, and 5 on 5.5, if they can do 5 on 5.5, it will be no trouble to do 6 on 5.5

Could you use some type of wheel spacers to convert the toyota to 8 lug. Would require new wheels.
