already asked on gen board but didnt get the info i was looking for. trying to fit a 15" wheel with 3 1/2" backspacing(already have the beadlocks)
ive got afront d60 from a 79f250 with massive dual piston calipers. the ears they mount into are 10 3/8" apart on the inside edges. 10 15/16" on outside
im looking for either a single piston caliper that will fit in these ears or a different mount that will fit the 5 stud design with a little modification. i dont mind grinding the calipers but it wont work with the calipers that i have.
thanks

you can convert it to chevy calipers which can be ground enuff to make it work

what year/model chevy will work. will i have to change the mount also? if so what year/model? i heard the chevy mount was a different bolt pattern than ford. mine has 5 studs to mount the spindle/brake

im not sure on that, almost sounds like yah should just change from the knuckle out. i think chevy d60 are a little wider due to the brakes and hubs so it sounds like it may just be easier to get wheels with 2 inches of backspacing, whats an inch and a half on each side? or get spacers to space the wheels out if yah already have them. dunno man maybe someone else can help yah
