My friend has am 89 grand cherokee that he bought with a 3" procomp lift. Since the weekend we have put on 1 3/4" spacers up front, & everything was fine. The next day we added a leaf in the rear, which was actually for a YJ (so we could use the long ones with the short pro comp leaf). This nets about 4.5" or so of lift in the rear. When you drive it, especially when on the gas it makes (made) a ticking noise almost like a piece of metal is clanging around somewhere. We looked around for a while & saw the that slip yoke on the driveshaft was out farther (duh) so we figure he needs a longer shaft. We got it extended 1" & it fit like factory. It still made the noise after the new shaft but not as much. As soon as he tried reverse, it pulled the straps off the rear u joint & the shit hit the fan! Any idea what we missed? Whats the noise? Could it have been the slight change in pinion angle? HELP!

1. This post pains me.
2. WTF are you posting it here for?
3. When is an XJ a Grand Cherokee?
4. You should have posted this in the Newbie forum.
5. Do you have a CLUE of what you are talking about?
6. Might be the angle of the shaft.
7. I cannot wait for the :cow: , see #1.
